  Dane Stauffer

Dane Stauffer

**Dane Stauffer recently completed a smash run of When a Man Loves a Diva with musical director Sanford Moore at Minneapolis' Lab Theater, as well as Mama, I Can Scat! at Illusion Theater with Peter Schimke.

In Los Angeles, he performed All in the Timing at Crown City Theatre ("Best Actor in a Comedy 2011", LA StageScene). He headlined at House of Blues on Sunset, and with Jeff Goldblum on the keys at Cafe Was, and performed improv at The Second City/Hollywood.

He's remembered for his stint at Minneapolis' Brave New Workshop and subsequent adventures with perennial partner Beth Gilleland in their self-penned Shedding Light...All Over Your Good Black Skirt. An NYU alum, he first sang with Barry Harris at the Jazz Forum in the East Viillage and in Minneapolis at the Cricket Theatre with the legendary 16-piece Wolverines Classic Jazz Orchestra. As an actor he recently wrapped shooting Sports Heaven with Christopher Lloyd, and was seen as Howard Elroy, the beauty pageant host on TV (Wicked Wicked Games with Tatum O'Neal).

His CD of original music, The Name is Dane, and EP of swing, Mama, I Can Scat! are available on iTunes and CD baby. He's currently working with Young Playwrights at Steppingstone Theatre and Action Transport Theatre in England to create and produce a show that asks the question, "Can bullyiing be stopped?".
