Peter Breitmeyer
|

** Peter Breitmayer (Hugh Butternut) jump-started his career in 1988, when he began his three-year residency at the “Second City” of Minneapolis, Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop. In the eight years following, he went on to become one of the region’s most prolific stage actors, appearing on numerous Twin Cities stages. Peter simultaneously developed a solid and diverse national commercial/ film/ TV career that has continued in Los Angeles, his home since 1996. He can be seen in supporting roles in Jingle All the Way, Suckers, Drop Dead Fred, and Catch Me If You Can, among others. He played Captain Phil Bender in the CBS made-for-TV movie, The Stranger Within, where, after being whacked on the head with a hammer by Ricky Schroeder, he experienced his career’s seminal moment (and anybody’s boyhood dream) when he laid “half dead” in an open pit shooting for three hours with Kate Jackson (the smart Angel) laying on top of him. In Los Angeles, Peter has been on numerous stages, winning LA Weekly Awards in two productions. Peter appears as Councilman Thorpe in Clint Eastwoods, Changeling and Gar Brandt in the upcoming release from the Coen Brothers file, A Serious Man. And you may have caught him on Just Shoot Me, or his recent Guest Star appearance on an Emmy winning episode of Malcolm in the Middle. Peter is thrilled....just thrilled...about everything.
